The Philippine Business Conference and Exposition (PBC&E),
considered as the premier business event of the year, will
be held on October 24-26 at the Manila Hotel. With the
theme ONE. GLOBAL. FILIPINO. Through Public-Private
Partnership, the 33rd PBC&E will showcase the preeminent role of the
public and private sectors in instituting significant reforms and
initiatives to harness the country’s competitiveness and promote the
growth of industries through investments and other business
opportunities. Chairing this year’s conference is Amb. Francis Chua, Special Envoy on Trade and Investment to China and a member of PCCI’s Board of Advisers. He is also the immediate Past President of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Inc. Amb. Chua also heads various companies engaged in information and communication technology, construction, manufacturing, and financial trading. As an embedded business tradition spanning three decades of unparalleled advocacy for business and economic development, the PBC&E serves as a foothold to sensible and no-holds-barred public-private interaction and dialogue for key policy issues in the country.

The PBC&E season kicks off with a series of Area Business Conferences for South Luzon, NCR, North Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. It will be held in Legazpi City on August 3-4, in Manila on August 16-17, in La Union on August 24-25, in Bacolod City on September 7-8, and in General Santos City on September 14-15, respectively. Last year, the PBC&E attracted 2,117 delegates and 77 exhibitors from PCCI’s extensive network of domestic and foreign leaders of business. The PCCI is a non-stock, non-profit organization comprised of 1,200 direct members, 98 local chambers, 122 industry associations, and 30 foreign business councils, all working together for a more vibrant Philippine economy and to improve the viability of businesses in the country. |
